The Hall is open from 1.30pm with the meeting running from 2.00 until 4.00pm.
Our meetings are a friendly gathering with plenty of opportunity to share our orchid successes (and failures!). Meetings always open with time to enter plants into the monthly Table Show or to set up a non-competitive display if you prefer. This is a good time to seek help with a problem plant or a query as our more experienced members will always be willing to give advice and share their knowledge.
The annual programme is a varied one, with speakers on a variety of orchid related topics. We try to ensure that the range of speakers reflects the wide range of interests of our members . The speaker usually commences at 2.00pm and may give an illustrated talk or provide a demonstration. After a break for tea, speakers are usually very happy to answer questions. Some of our speakers bring a range of plants for sale.
We always have a Table Show, so please bring along any orchids in flower. There is also a chance to try your luck in the Raffle, to win plants or accessories donated by members. Refreshments are available before the meeting and during a convenient break.
We are fortunate that some speakers also bring orchids for sale, giving members an opportunity to buy unusual and excellent quality plants.
